When viewing LDAP group membership from the WikiGroups page, only the immediate group members are displayed. Not the subgroup members.

This appears to have been done deliberately, but is confusing for users compared to the default pattern skin implementation which prints subgroup members but limits the list. I wasn't sure if subgroups were working properly or not when I saw this.

Suggest a quick fix of removing the expand="0" from the noneditablegroup section of NatSkinWikiGroupsViewTemplate to avoid this confusion (I did this in the MySkin version of this template for my site).

If you want to get fancy, it would be even better to come up with a way to avoid expanding the groups, but to include the names of these groups as clickable links that expand when clicked to show the subgroup members - but that doesn't look simple to do.

Not sure if this is completely correct now. I don't see that PatternSkin expands the groups either on trunk. Expanding the groups is misleading because it leads the user to try to "remove" a user that can't be directly removed.

In reviewing 1.1.9 GroupViewTemplate, it does not expand groups either.

Actually, if the Groupname is a topic, then it becomes clickable, I think the workaround is to create a Group topic for the LDAP group, so that the membership can also be rendered.

Confirming this as an enhancement, but for LdapContrib, since with TopicUserMappingContrib, the groups are clickable.
