Recently someone must have thought the admins' brains will explode if they are exposed to a little bit of help text
The result was
- You cannot quickly walk through the web and find what you seek when you want to rename or move a web. Those tools are hidden.
- The help twisty is a tiny little thing that also hides the help text in a way that very few will ever notice
It is not smart user interface to HIDE HELP or HIDE important Tools.
WebPreferences is a topic for admins and super users. It is full of geek settings that a beginner user will not grok anyway. So why hide help and tools from the admins?
I am removing this misfeature again. And I hear from IRC that I am not the only one that has had problems finding stuff in
WebPreferences after this change.
These twisties are like hiding the hand brake of a car in the glove compartment.

That was me. And I don't agree at all with your words.

We were several that has problems finding the tools for webs after they had been hidden. And we are experienced users that KNOW the feature is there and will persistantly continue to search for it. A normal admin will never click on help to find a link to a tool he does not know is there.
That is what I mean by hiding the handbreak in the glove compartment.
HOWEVER. My change not only pulled the hand break out of the glove compartment. I also pulled our the user manual and threw it on the passenger seat.
So I will put the user manual back but leave the hand break. It is perfectly OK that the help text is hidden behind a help twisty. That is logical and removes noise when you do not need the help.
I am sure that will be satisfactory to everyone.
