BuildContrib gets information from svn command in order to perform some tasks like macro expansion (e.g. %$VERSION%). The code assumes svn will print messages in English, what doesn't hold if another locale is in use (e.g pt_BR).

In order to use BuildContrib I have to export LC_ALL=C before calling perl build.pl release. BuildContrib should adjust this environment variable before calling svn (or any other command that is supposed to return messages in English).
