Item675: On edit page, use %USERSWEB% in the signature shown for pasting

If it is desirable to encourage users to use %USERSWEB%.WikiName to refer to their topic, then suggest that the signature for copying and pasting use this instead of hardcoding "Main".
IMHO, it is better to show neither Main
nor %USERSWEB% and instead use
FindElsewherePlugin set to Main (%USERSWEB%) instead.
i believe it is absolutely
futile to try and get people to type %USERSWEB% (i'm speaking of the general case, i realize this is just a bit of copy/paste text.)
i've actually tried to do that here on foswiki.org, but something isn't working... :((

As we've discussed before, I'm not a fan of
FindElsewherePlugin, and so personally would prefer that it not be relied upon to create a link to a user's page. --

I absolutely cannot support the idea that the signature field in the editor uses something as geeky as %USERSWEB
Do not mix up what we write in documentation so it works with another user web name than Main
With endusers you cannot be that geeky
It is already bad that people have to put the webname in front

So if I understand correctly, the USERSWEB and SYSTEMWEB macros are not intended to be used anywhere except in documentation delivered as part of the System web and extensions that contain Wiki topics? --

Closing -- assumed that making use of the USERSWEB macro is not desirable in this scenario. --
