WYSIWY(A)G editor gets confused when you try to do something that seems reasonable, but apparently isn't.

Specifically, create a verbatim text block, say, with a code example.

Select a piece of that block & change the color to red, so as to highlight something.

The screen will look as expected, however when the topic is saved, there is a <font> </font> tag pair visible - apparently the <verbatim> is superseding the <font>. Sorta understandable. But not what's desired - nor what you see when making the attempt.

For an example, see the workaround section in This bug report.

I'm going to confirm this, but don't expect a fix any time soon. The problem is really in tinymce, which doesn't actually have a "verbatim" concept.

This is way out of date, was fixed years ago.
