I've defered the registration work until after 4.2.0 is released - too many other things in my schedule, It functions like 4.1.2 does. It will go into a 4.2.x patch release unless the changes are too intrusive.

If 4.2.1 patch release is the target then target release is patch and not future. I removed future from the form (undocumented and confusing and n/a does the job if you do not know)

And I can confirm the problem. Especially if the blacklist plugin catch something when you save - it leaves behind the user in .htpasswd and in TWikiUsers but does not save the user topic.
