How do you see that your login has not been remembered? Any details?

There are several symtoms: After I'm logged in ...

... there's still 'Your account' in the topbar. Shouldn't this be 'guest'?
... skin settings I made in my home topic do not override site or web wide settings.
... in Tasks web (using Pattern) I sometimes saw the 'Log In' (instead 'guest' although I did login before.

I did try this with either Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 7 and found it very irritating and unexpected as it used to work.
