if you copy a topic using save / edit by setting templatetopic=""

then the attachments META's get copied too. (I'm guessing they may come from formtemplate="" if you set that)

this leaves us with the worst of all worlds - a topic containing broken links.

I would like it to also copy the attachments to the new topic

but this maybe should be an option

so:

normally, edit&save should strip the attachments before going on,
if you add copyattachments=on it will copy attachments and their ,v files..

I think its a bug, but it does need someone to code it up atm

This was fixed somewhere along the way. bin/edit/Sandbox/SomeNewTopic?templatetopic=topicwithattachments copies the complete topic including attachments. Nothing broken.
