Search Engine Optimization
Overcome our poor search engine history
No matter what you search for today. You will hardly ever find TWiki.org if not explicitly searching for it. Even using Google to find content on TWiki.org using a site-wide search is nearly impossible. That has to change with NextWiki.
We will develop a SEO-action-plan to get a decent indexing and ranking in Google.
Get a decent Share of TWiki-search volume
If somebody is searching for Twiki on Google, Yahoo or another search engine he will want to find NextWiki from November 2008 on. We will make sure that this is going to happen.
A way to achieve higher ranking is to use written out page titles in the
<title>
tag of the html page instead of WikiWords. For example, OurSeo will probably not be found by someone searching with the term "SEO", but "Our SEO" will. Along the same lines, the
SpacedWikiWordPlugin is already achieving this for us for topic text.
This is still due for operational task creation. Feel free to add your thoughts on how we should proceed. --

I know, that we did not do much, but I experience it much easier now to search for something on Foswiki through Google than earlier with www.twiki.org. --
