Item2629: Topic Child List is not working

There is a problem with creating child topic list, which is mentioned in

In my wiki site.. (wiki code. omitted '%' symbol)

Searched: parent.name = 'Research' Number of topics: 0

Of course, there exist child topics. I can see "You are here: Foswiki>Main Web>Research>Misc (2010-01-13, JiseobKim)"

I also checked out 'More Topic actions' tab. But..

This problem also occured even for Mainweb please help

I am not sure what is failing if anything.

A topic may not have a parent. The default is that WebHome is the parent if a topic has not been assigned a parent.

When you search for a specific parent - only those where the parent is actively assigned will be returned which is what it should do.

If you want to return topics that default to the WebHome you can probably search for topics with no parent.

Try and experiment with this.

If you look at the raw topic with ?raw=debug you can see if there is a META line at the top with a topic parent.
