Item14770: ExcelImportExportPlugin fails with "Missing or illegal web name" error

Running a Foswiki 1.1.9 installation. When attempting to use any functionality from the ExcelImportExportPlugin, the operation always fails with the error message "Missing or illegal web name" as listed above.

These functions did previously work successfully, but have recently become totally broken.

The suggested fixes from Item10072 and Item8494 have already been implemented in the past when other issues were encountered, and they did resolve those issues at the time. However this "Missing or illegal web name" error is a completely new problem and persists regardless of those other fixes.

With regard to Item8494 , the "Switchboard" fix has not been tried or implemented, since I am not sure how or where one goes about adding the relevant code suggested.

Both the test examples from the IssueExcelExportImport topic and any custom created ones fail identically, whether attempting to export or import excel data.

Even a super-simple test case such as:

| Value1        | Value2        |

%TABLE2EXCEL%

...fails consistently with the "Missing or illegal web name" error.

Any help or guidance with how to resolve this usse would be greatly appreciated.

I have a same problem with the 2.1.6 version of the wiki. Any new about this topic?
