After upgrading to Foswiki 2.1.3 and newest NatSkin plugin there is no option to select Template when creating new topic.

The complete topic create process is being redesigned. To get back the old behaviour

   * Set SKIN = old, nat

in your SitePreferences

Thanks! are there any notes or documentation on this ? Maybe add to NatSkinFAQ or release notes. How does the behavior work and how can i migrate my template pages?

-- UlrichLeodolter - 28 Feb 2017

I know that most people follow the pure "template" way by creating a topic in a web following a specific naming convention: having a XYZTemplate which may have a form attached to it or not. The old new-topic dialog will then let you chose among them.

The new new-topic dialog is tightly coupled to the WikiWorkbenchContrib's notion of TopicTypes that are deployed to one or more webs. Each of them adds to the dialog in a kind of wizard: step one - select the type of topic, optional step two - select a template for that TopicType.
