I have installed and configured Foswiki 2.0 + LdapNgPlugin. LDAP Authentication is configured and works fine.

Ldap and Site Charset are utf-8. But the LDAP search macro returns double or incorrect encoded german umlauts frown, sad smile

This has been tested on CentOS 6.6 and 7.1. On the CentOS 6.6 machine i have installed an old Version 1.2 Alpha which has also Site Charset utf-8. On this installation LDAP search encoding works fine.

works at least in Foswiki 2.0.2
