Let me first state, that it is a really cool effort to see, that NextWiki Foswiki is moving and developing through the Twitter-Account at http://twitter.com/nextwiki http://twitter.com/foswiki. That is exactly how it should be! smile

At the moment we are tracking SVN-commits, which is cool as it can be. But I would like to ask for more: - Track every change in every web and bring it to the Twitter-Feed also. (Maybe we want to create a separate Twitter-Account for that, as it is really high volume.) - Alternatively only track activity in the tasks web.

Parallel we could implement a box, that shows all Twitter-posts live on our homepage. A dynamic Ajax-Box would be supercool. smile
  • we already have one. I build it in the first week of foswiki - at... TwitterBuzz

Yeah, I was contemplating a TwitterPlugin too smile -- SvenDowideit

I have no idea who is waiting on me, or what they're waiting on. I do not know the password anymore it looks like Babar changed something?

-- SvenDowideit - 16 Jan 2009

As said (check Item782), I've changed the username from nextwiki to Foswiki, but the password is still the same. I was able to connect today, so let me know if it still fails for you. It seems to work OK as the RSS feed was updated.

Assigning this back to Martin as I have no idea what he wants from it. I just removed the nextwiki, that's all.

Unfortunately Community.TwitterBuzz is not linked to from any page (other than this one now). A while ago, I updated the Community.FossyTweets page that MichaelCorbett had created to work the way he intended -- each person with a Twitter feed can add one line of TML to get their tweets included. FossyTweets is accessible from the MarketingHub page. --Main.IsaacLin - 16 Jan 2009

The next step is in my opinion the following: Track every change in every web and bring it to the Twitter-Feed also. -- MartinSeibert - 31 Jan 2009

Hey, I just renamed the Twitter feed to remove the T-word, that's all.

I'm not a twitter, I don't twit, so I doubt I can help. Assigning back to Sven 'cause maybe he can smile

I think our Foswiki twitter account should show more meaningful information to people who are not as active in Foswiki. So it should show updates on our releases, blog posts, new extensions, news etc. Maybe we should have a separate Foswiki-svn account for the svn commits, and a Foswki-changes account if we want the web site changes. Otherwise there is just too much noise.

If the Fosiwki account was more informational then I for one would follow it (I dont at the moment because I already get the svn commits by email...).

I would also be willing to help 'tweet' on the Foswiki account.
