Item11531: Silent failure to send WebNotify email

Explicitly specifying an email address in addition to one's UserName results in silent failure to send WebNotify emails. Thus,

• RandomUser - random.user@gmail.com

does not work, but

• RandomUser

does.

Preliminary debugging has shown that '%changeset' is undefined at the time _sendChangesMails in MailerContrib.pm gets called. Enabling '$ENV{FOSWIKI_ASSERTS}' in bin/LocalLib.cfg does not produce any additional data upon failure.

Version 1.1.4 of Foswiki, running on Perl 5.8.8.

I worked with Alexis to try to figure this one out. I am unable to recreate - tried perl 5.8.8 as well. See IRC Logs
