Priority: Enhancement
Current State: No Action Required

Several people suggested a plugin to add the current user to the admin group, based on whether they had write access to that topic or not. So here it is.
the attachment is a work in progress; it will be pushed into svn when it's passed initial test/dev.

We do have a popular second use case for this plugin, therefore I would welcome a different name for the plug-in.
We offer certain functions on a opt-in bases. This is done by users getting member of a dedicated group. The functionality, mostly some UI stuff, gets included based of membership in those groups.
So, it is more some kind of '(de)activate membership'.

It turns out, that
SCRIPT{"manage"} already knows methods
addUserToGroup and
removeUserFromGroup.
We completely missed this development, as we missed to copy
GroupViewTemplate to Main to enable the respective nice UI.
The change in
GroupTemplate took user as a bug and just kept copying and pasting old group topics. It got discovered when eventually an admin had to set up a new group and investigated this
bug more closely.
So, this enhancement can therefore be seen as being covered with core functionality.
