Item11408: kinosearch not functioning under 1.1.4 + mod_fcgid

I recently installed KinoSearchContrib on a fresh 1.1.4 install, using mod_fcgid, and I can't get it to work. Both kinoindex and kinoupdate appear to work fine, creating and updating the index files. However, actually using kinosearch in the browser, it does nothing; it just redirects you to webhome.

I tried enabling debug in configure, and then kinosearch just segfaulted with a 500 error. Even after disabling debug, kinosearch now just dies, with the errors below:

Abandoned work. KinoSearch needs a new maintainer.
