Item11293: Customizing UserRegistration is too hard

An IRC user today was lamenting the difficulty of removing fields from the UserRegistration topic

Difficulties encountered:

• Copying System.UserRegistration -> Main.UserRegistration results in a warning that's not obvious how to resolve: "Can't INCLUDE UserRegistration repeatedly, topic is already included"
• It's quite involved to actually remove (or even add) new fields to the form - involves scanning through lots of (though reasonably structured) TML
• The use-case seems to be for a site where real names aren't wanted; is Foswiki suited to empty First/Lastname fields? Possible work-around: copy the WikiName into the Firstname field?

Agreed. All of these INCLUDEs should go away in favour of a proper view template. Same holds for WikiGroups and a few others.

However closing due to inactivity for now.
