Item10790: script error while saving a topic
Priority: Normal
Current State: No Action Required
Released In: n/a
Target Release: patch
I'm using Foswiki 1.1.2 from the Windows-installer. When trying to save some topics after editing (apparently it has to do with larger topics), I get a script error:
"Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing your web browser to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive."
When clicking YES the topic is not saved. Clicking NO results in a continuing script run.
I'm using IE8.
Anyone any ideas to solve this problem? Thanx!
Best regards,
Raymond Westerik

Can you zip up an example of a long topic for us that we can try?
Is this the WYSIWYG editor that you save from?
Any entries in the error log of Apache?

Hi Kenneth,
Yes, it is the wysiwyg editor we're saving from.
This morning (26th May) we reproduced the error from 10:08 to 10:10 (see log file you asked for).
Attached you'll find the log file and the page itself.
Thanx!

It's actually not that big, but I can see that the table structure has fallen apart. The main issue is the use of headings inside table cells. This is not supported. I'll see if I can think about this in a few weeks

Hi Paul, I will look after that. In the meantime I'll wait for further action.
Thanx in advance!

Works without problems in 1.2.0, so closing no-action
