Item10312: Empty Table Cells Uneditable
Priority: Normal
Current State: No Action Required
Released In: n/a
Target Release: n/a
I disabled HTML to TML conversion for tables created with the WYSIWYG editor by setting:
* Set WYSIWYGPLUGIN_STICKYBITS = (?!IMG).*=id,lang,title,dir,on.*; A=accesskey,coords,shape,target; BDO=dir; BR=clear; COL=char,charoff,span,valign,width; COLGROUP=align,char,charoff,span,valign,width; DIR=compact; DIV=align,style; DL=compact; FONT=size,face; H[0-9]=align; HR=align,noshade,size,width; LEGEND=accesskey,align; LI=value; OL=compact,start,type; P=align; PARAM=name,type,value,valuetype; PRE=width; Q=cite; TABLE=.*; TBODY=.*; TD=.*; TFOOT=.*; TH=.*; THEAD=.*; TR=.*; UL=compact,type
I created a table with the editor and left all table cells empty and then saved the topic.
After going back into the editor, I notice all the empty cells are uneditable. I cannot add text to them or change their properties.
TinyMCEPlugin 1.1.7

This is almost definitely a TinyMCE bug, but I wonder if disabling
legacyoutput
plugin helps.
I won't have time to do much for this bug, but I will be testing TinyMCE 3.4.x to see if it's resolved in those versions.

FYI, I tried disabling legacyoutput plugin, but that didn't help

Was there any resolution to this issue? I am experiencing it using
TinyMCE version 3.3.9.2. Thank you!

Testing with the TMCE shipped with Foswiki 1.1.5, this appears to be fixed. Empty cells and tables can be edited, and properties of empty cells can be set. Setting to No Action Required.
