This question about Using an extension: Answered

_BugsContrib web, not the web I created?

I added BugsContrib to my Foswiki installation just now. The instructions seemed to me to require me to create a web for it, but didn't seem to have me do anything with that web -- and it's now sitting empty on my left bar, and the only way I can get to my BugsContrib installation is manually through _BugsContrib.

So, what was I supposed to have actually done? And can I delete my "Tasks" web and rename _BugsContrib? Or is _BugsContrib magic, but I need to do something somewhere to have Tasks become a bugs web?

The _BugsContrib web is a template web. The magic is that when you create a new web, and tell Foswik to use _BugsContrib as the template, it should populate your Tasks web with the contents of the _BugsContrib template.

You might try it again. As far as I know, template webs should work.

I was pretty sure there was something I wasn't doing that needed doing, I just didn't know what it was. I'll check the documentation when I go in to fix the issue, but I think it may actually be missing from the docs; I'll bring that back here if it is.

So, this sounds like the right answer, though I haven't fixed my case yet (that's work, this is home).

Thanks!
