This question about Using an extension: Answered
FoswikiSiteSkin Skin isn't available after unzip
I am trying to use the
FoswikiSiteSkin on a Windows 2003 server with IIS. I have downloaded it and unzipped it into the installation directory. I cannot run the installation script (the instructions doesn't mention this installation step) because it uses unix commands and produces an error while trying to extract the files. How can I can use this great looking skin on my new Foswiki site? The install extensions method unfortunately doesn't work either
Could you give more details of what fails when using the installer? I just tried to install this skin on an Apache / Windows / Strawberry Perl installation and it worked fine, so I need more details to understand what is failing. You could also try to install it from the Foswiki root directory. I tried that method and even though it gives errors about not finding the "tar" or "zip" programs, it paused for 5-10 seconds and then completed the installation without any other errors.
C:\www\Foswiki> perl tools\extension_installer FoswikiSiteSkin
Note that if you are using all the standard directory locations, you should not need to actually run the installer for this extension. It is sufficient to just unzip the archive file into the Foswiki root directory. However if you have renamed any of the standard file locations
<Foswiki-root>/data/System/
or
/templates
or
/pub/System
or
/lib/Foswiki
, then a simple unzip will not put files into the correct locations.
(Note that on Foswiki 1.1.2, the
FoswikiSiteSkin is deprecated and replaced by Pattern Skin "Themes". The "Fat Willy" theme is the replacement for the Foswiki Site Skin znc is included by default.)

Since I have version 1.1.2, I used the built in "Fat Willy" theme like you suggested. That resolved my issue. Thank you!
