Umlauts in Query search does not work out

Hey folks!

Localisation {UseLocale} enabled and {Site}{Locale} set to "C" and {Site}{CharSet} set to "Utf-8".

I encountered problems while doing a search type="query" using umlauts. For example: "Prüf*" while looking for all words who begin with Prüf. Error:

Syntax error in 'prüfbericht*' at 'üfbericht*'

If I'm doing the search on formfields I can escape this error by putting FormName[name='fieldname'].value. But again search results are not straight! How can I make the formfield search with umlauts get to work? Would be very important to me.

Any comment or hint is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Can you please provide the full search here. The query parser is limited to ASCII in field names, but should have no limitation in string values.
