Access to arbitrary meta-data

If there a way that the DBCachePlugin can access arbitrary meta-data? In particular, I'm interested in constructing queries involving the WorkflowPlugin meta-data.

Yes, that part works. Is there a way to include arbitrary meta-data from the topic in the formatted output? The only way I've discovered to do this is include something like the following in format:

$percntQUERY{\"'$web.$topic'/META:WORKFLOW.name\"}$percnt
