CKEditorPlugin status

What is the current status of CKEditorPlugin? Is it abandoned?

As I can see, new Foswiki 1.2.0 will use "Natural Edit" instead of TinyMCE.
Why not CKE? It looks very impressive (http://ckeditor.com/), although I understand that not all options will be available in WYSIWYG topic editing.

Foswiki does use TinyMCE. NatEditPlugin is just a shell for additional engines to plugin in. There are currently two engines implemented: raw edit and TinyMCE. There are plans to add CKEdit, ACE and Codemirror engines. The current status of CKEditorPlugin is that it only works on Q.Wiki, the Foswiki fork by Modell Aachen.
