FOSwiki site not accessible via IP address

Hi everybody,

I am a first-time user of FosWiki and encountered some problems in configuration of foswiki site but overcame them with help from this forum. Now my foswiki is accesible when i go to the address http://localhost/foswiki but not when i access it using the IP address of the same PC (which is acting as server). If it is not accessing itself from the same PC using IP, how will it be possible for the users to access it remotely? frown, sad smile Kindly note that it is not possible for me to configure a DNS server at the moment, so my users will be accessing it using IP address of the foswiki server.

Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

We need some more information:

What OS and web server? Linux / Apache?

What is the failure? Does it just time out? Or do you get a connection to the server but some other unexpected results? For example, a 404 - not found, or the default apache "It Works!" page?

This is most likely an apache configuration issue. If it's a timeout, then apache may not be listening on the server IP address or a firewall might be blocking access. If you get the wrong page from the server, then it's most likely an apache issue with a virtual host configuration.
