NatSkin - Home button wants to create a new topic

-- CarlEastman - 27 Jul 2013

I just installed a fresh installation of foswiki 1.1.8, api 2.2 and added natskin 3.99_016 to the mainweb and systemweb, but the home button wants to keep creating a new topic. The help and admin buttons do not.

Carl, which topic is it that it wants to create?

So you are at Main.WebHome according to the topicparent parameter, but the link tries to create it yet again?

There's something odd in your setup, with regards to the definition of the {UsersWebName} and/or {HomeTopicName} in LocalSite.cfg.... Did you customize these settings?

Btw. the Home button is defined in System.SiteMenu as

<li.... [[%USERSWEB%.%HOMETOPIC%][%MAKETEXT{"Home"}%]]

...

I don't think I changed those two definitions. $Foswiki::cfg(UsersWebName) = 'Main'; and $Foswiki::cfg(HomeTopicName) = 'WebHome';

The only changes I made to LocalSite.cfg was to configure the ldap settings.

I also tried to hard code the Main TO Main but that didn't work either.

This can be closed - I am not sure why but I clicked the home button, and saved the Main / WebHome page and now the home button works as expected. I think I remember the Main / WebHome showing wikiguest as the last editor, but after the above editing.. I have a web home but with 1 revision.
