JHotDrawPlugin with sub-webs

We have a problem using JHotDrawPlugin in sub-webs.

If a topic containing a drawing is in one of the top-level webs, such as Main or Sandbox, drawing editor works, but if I move the topic with a drawing to a sub-web, JHotDraw fails to load drawing contents, and at the bottom of JHotDraw window there is error message like this:
