How do I prevent Foswiki from automatically linking WikiWords?

Sometimes you do not want Foswiki to create a link from a WikiWord (a word written in CamelCase).

There are multiple ways of preventing links:

1. Put a ! in front of the WikiWord
2. Put a <nop> in front of the WikiWord
3. enclose a whole paragraph with <noautolink>... </noautolink> tags

If there are certain words that you want never to be linked (e.g., MacDonald), then consider using TWiki:Plugins.StopWikiWordLinkPlugin.

A new plugin has been released for Foswiki. The ControlWikiWordPlugin implements the functions of both the StopWikiWordLinkPlugin and the SingletonWikiWordPlugin, along with some additional features. Since this plugin covers all of the features of the prior plugins, they have been marked as Dropped in the StatusOfPortingExtensionsToFoswiki topic.
