Bilingual install?

Greetings from a neon-green newbie! I searched high and low and can't find this question addressed: can ONE install support TWO languages simultaneously? I see your site offers a drop-down with maybe all 20, but I don't know how it works techinically (I'm creative / exec side; just technically-oriented enough to get into trouble.) And the related follow-up: can an English install be done by an IT guy who only speaks Chinese and is using the Chinese download / config guide? I am going to oversee and lead the build of a custom knowledge base for my film company here, and after doing a deep-dive on options the last couple of weeks, Foswiki looks like the clear winner. What we want to do is to write articles (pages) in both languages, plus some pages will need to be bilingual, and all should be cross-referenced and linkable to a private CRM we are building, too. And our IT guy only speaks Chinese, but I will be the primary admin / user of the system until it's built, and my Chinese isn't great. I have a bilingual assistant who can help interface but that's not practical 24/7. Will this work? Thanks for any help; your community and story seems as cool as the product is impressive; kudos.

Hi Brendan, have a look at the MultiLingualPlugin. It let's you create and manage content in multiple languages.

While Foswiki is supporting some 20 or so languages, these foremost are translations for the interface and not the content itself. MultiLingualPlugin let's you create topics that form one kind of a bundle that represent the same content in different languages.
