Who am I?

I have a MSEE degree and have developed in Perl for about ten years, but not full time. I have been using fosTwiki since 2003 or so, and maintain several (large) sites using it. I want to help steer this application in the right direction. I run my own company (Cognisys.com) and sell neurofeedback equipment.

What do I want?

What can I do?

Lots of experience with TWiki and collaboration tools in general. Used hypernews in the 1990s when it was the best tool on the market.

I have worked for a number of years (mainly in the 1990s) in the standards process, mainly on fax standards, but I think the experience will help us as we move toward standardization and adoption of foswiki by the larger Internet community.

You may be interested to see my contributions on the TWiki.org site, and in particular, the contribution to poorly written code in this topic: Schwartzian Transform Misused provided in 2003.

Why do I want to do it?

1. I have made changes to the PublishPlugin that I think will be appropriate to use instead of Wordpress for the marketing/promotional landing pages for foswiki.

2. I want to get email integration better so people who are submitting to an email listserve will find their comments added to a topic on the site. I have a plan for this and can probably produce a test implementation for comment of the group.
